About the artist
Greetings and welcome to my website!
My name is Andrés Angulo. I’m a Spanish independent comic artist and writer. I am the creator of the “Blight” comic series as well as the founder of the canine-inspired clothing brand; “Can-Apparel”.
I’ve been working in the industry for years since 2016, although to be fair I did give a fair shot at trying to work as a freelance artist before that. I’m proud to say that I interned in Ilion Animation Studios (now Skydance Animation) and was able to work a bit in both Luck (2022) and Spellbound (2024). I also worked for a while as a concept artist for the film Dog Aches.
But if you know about me, it’s probably either through my fanarts or through my comic.
Ever since I graduated college, I’ve had two main goals I’ve strived for:
Improve my craft and skill as an artist.
Find a way to tell the story I’ve spent years creating.
I’d say I’ve achieved the self improvement bit, although let’s face it… You can always get better as an artist and I still got way too much left to learn. But since 2024 Blight has officially become a published work, under the Markosia banner. But comics take a ridiculously long time to make (who knew right?), so in the meantime I’ve decided to promote and sell my work through the merch you’ll find on this site.
